A focused cardiovascular work-up for guests with risk factors, a family history, or a near-miss they would rather not repeat — structured around imaging, not just bloodwork.

- Resting 12-lead ECG
Rhythm & function
- 24-hour Holter monitoring
- Exercise stress testing (treadmill, physician-supervised)
- Ambulatory blood pressure monitoring

- Cardiac markers, fasting glucose and HbA1c, renal function
Consultation

Who this is designed for
- Guests with hypertension, high cholesterol, diabetes or a smoking history
- Adults with a family history of heart attack or stroke before the age of 60
- Anyone with chest tightness, breathlessness or palpitations under investigation at home
- Guests whose home system has a long wait for coronary CT or cardiology review
Why guests do this in China
- Coronary CT without the queue. CCTA is a routine self-pay appointment, so a symptom-free guest with risk factors can be imaged now rather than after months on a list.
- Vascular and rhythm work in the same trip. Carotid ultrasound, Holter monitoring and supervised stress testing are scheduled back to back instead of across separate referrals.
- A cardiologist reads it and explains it. You leave with a written risk summary and named next steps, not a folder of images.
How it works, day by day
- Day 1 morning — Fasting bloodwork, ECG, echocardiography and carotid / vascular ultrasound.
- Day 1 afternoon — Coronary CT angiography with calcium scoring; Holter monitor fitted.
- Day 2 morning — Holter removal, supervised exercise stress test, cardiology consultation and written report.
Pricing & what your quote covers
Quote on request
Pricing on request — you receive a written, itemised quote within 24 hours of your enquiry, before you commit to anything.
Every quote is itemised, and covers:
- Hospital and physician fees for every module listed on this page
- English-language written report with physician commentary
- Interpreter accompaniment throughout the screening days
- Airport pick-up and transfer to and from the hospital
- Hotel shortlist and booking assistance at negotiated rates
- A physician walk-through of your report before you fly home
No deposit is required to receive a quote. If you decide not to travel, nothing is owed. A quote is not a medical opinion and does not commit either side until you confirm in writing.
Optional add-ons
- Brain MRI and MRA for stroke-risk assessment
- Cardiac MRI (myocardial tissue characterisation)
- Whole-body PET-CT
- Renal artery and aortic CT angiography
Add-ons are priced separately in the same written quote. We will tell you if a module is not worth doing in your case.
Frequently asked questions
What does a checkup in China cost?
We quote on request. Chinese hospitals set self-pay rates individually depending on the modules selected and the hospital tier, so a published figure would be misleading for most guests. Send us the package you are interested in and we return a written, itemised quote within 24 hours — hospital fees, English report, interpreter and transfers all listed separately, before you book anything.
Can I have coronary CT if I have a stent or bypass?
Often yes, but the protocol differs and occasionally another modality is better. Tell us your surgical history up front so the cardiologist can choose the right study before you travel.
Will I need contrast dye?
Coronary CT angiography uses intravenous contrast. Bring any record of previous contrast reactions or kidney function results, and we will flag them in the pre-travel review.
What if the stress test is abnormal?
You would be referred for the appropriate next study — usually invasive angiography or cardiac MRI — with the timeline and cost explained before any commitment.
